About Me

I’m a freelance technical author and information designer based in the UK. For over four decades, I’ve been helping companies communicate complex ideas clearly — through well-structured documentation, engaging visuals, and practical support content.

My work spans industries, teams, and formats. I’m just as comfortable creating a knowledge base article from a developer's walkthrough video as I am writing a 200-page installation guide, or producing a screen-capture video series for end-users. I’m hands-on, collaborative, and always focused on making the end result useful, usable, and on time.

Clients & Projects

Cognidox Ltd
Migrated extensive Word and FrameMaker content into a Flare-based HTML5 help system. Ongoing maintenance, version control via Git, and regular updates to training content. Currently focused on creating a structured knowledge base for their support site, including concise articles and Camtasia-produced explainer videos published via HubSpot.

Cambridge Broadband Networks Group (CBNG)
Currently producing installation guides, training manuals, and a detailed user guide for the company’s Network Management System (NMS). Work includes designing information layouts, eliciting detail from engineers, and documenting both hardware and software components.

Ververica
Worked with a remote team to document a streaming data platform using Docusaurus, Markdown, and GitHub.

Emberion
Created a full set of hardware and software manuals for SWIR camera systems. Content migrated from InDesign to Flare. Worked with UK and Finnish teams.

Blu Wireless / CRFS / Leica Microsystems / TSL / Oxsight
Projects have included user guides, installation manuals, NMS documentation, and multilingual help systems. Often combining tech writing, illustration, and layout design.
